Another talent revealed by Dr. Dre, Anderson .Paak entered the music industry through the big door by stealing the spotlight on the highly anticipated last Doctor’s album, Compton, especially on the historical Animals, 1st reunion between the two iconic producers from each coast: Dr. Dre and DJ Premier.
This gifted musician did not disappoint by releasing Malibu, a piece of art filled with organic, vintage and funky sounds like no one else do anymore, inspired by the best soul/R&B artists like James Brown, Curtis Mayfield and Stevie Wonder, also influenced by rap culture, from the Native Tongue movement to Nas and Kendrick Lamar.
